Hair Dressing School

Class of November 2016 with our beloved Instructor
Many of you who follow me on my social media know that I recently went back to school, I enrolled in a 8 month intensive hairdressing course at the Loreal Professional African Salon Institute South Africa.

For many years I avoided my natural gift, yes I do believe we are all born with certain gifts, and my gift is to do hair, I have always known how to do hair, from my own to my friends and family.  However, being hair-dresser was not the dream I had for myself at all,  I took a different path and went to University and  studied business, I pursed the corporate world and I was very good at my job.

When I started the blog in 2014 I never once dreamed that it would lead me down this path, as many of you know my blog was started so I could help people navigate the sometimes confusing world of natural hair. Through the blog I have met some amazing people and I have had the privilege to do some pretty awesome things.Last year I decided to launch the Online store as the products I was writing about many of you could not get access to, and through the support of my very patient husband I have had the opportunity to travel to other countries in Africa to speak about my hair journey and through this my husband has established MZANSIFRO DISTRIBUTION which takes pretty much all the products we sell on the online store to other African countries, Mzansifro Distribution has successfully launched Afro Botanics and Nubian Nature in Zimbabwe.  We are also launching in Zimbabwe, Aunt Jackie's, Ultimate Organic Therapy, Marc Anthony, OGX Beauty, and Texture My Way in the next few weeks.

Hair Dressing and ME!
This year I decided to finally accept my gift and go to school and get professionally certified so I that I can go into Hair Salons and work with hair on a full time basis.  I chose the Loreal Professional Institute because  the qualification is internationally recognized which means I can work anywhere in the WORLD, also I get to do some pretty AWESOME stuff.  I get to learn and work with different types of hair from Caucasian to "Ethnic" which is pretty cool.

Future.......
I am not sure what the future holds but I am excited, I am very proud of what I have achieved in the past and it has prepared me for my future.  I would like to thank each and every one of you for the overwhelming support, I will forever be humbled and grateful for all your support.
