Design Essentials - Review

I have waited the longest time to try Design Essentials Products, and I am seriously regretting waiting this long. I have really being missing out.  I bought all the products for this review. If you are a regular reader of this blog you will know I LOVE ME some Afro Botanics, but I have to say the Design Essentials Almond and Avocado hair-care range is pretty darn good.

Shampoo and Conditoner
The Almond and Avocado Shampoo and De-tangling Conditioner are a match made in "moisture heaven". These two work together to replenish and seal the moisture into your strands. When I washed my hair with the shampoo my hair felt like it had been co-washed, you could easily skip the conditioner step and use the leave-in conditioner if you are pressed for time. The de-tangling conditioner works to infuse your hair with moisture, as it melts the knots from your hair (which are very minimal after the shampoo). The conditioner also defines your curls, so if you are going for a wash and go it definitely makes the next step easier.

Leave-in Conditioner
WOW this product is amazing it is probably the best de-tangler I have ever used, my hair was left feeling, soft, smooth and silky. I love that it does not leave a "silcony coated" feel on your hair like like other leave-in conditioners nor does it weigh down your hair. My curls started to define as I worked the conditioner into my hair. I dried my hair in two strand twists when they were completely dry I unraveled the twists, not only did I have an amazing twist-out but my hair was soft, shiny and bouncy. This one is definitely a keeper and is already a firm favorite it also smells #AMA-ZING.
Defining Creme Gel
As always I leave the best for last. As you all know I love my curls to be super defined, be it a twist-out, bantu-knot out or wash and go.The Curl Defining Cream was made for girls just like me. Firstly this product smells amazing, when I applied it to sections of my hair and worked it into my curls they immediately started to define. I also didn't experience the dreaded CRUNCHY feeling you get with other gels. I also styled my hair into a Bantu-knot, I had the most popping coily curls which grew into a massive afro over the course of the week. I was truly blown away by the results of the these four Design Essentials products
I will definitely be trying more Design Essentials products and yes I will listen to you guys more often when you suggest products that I should try. I am looking forward to the Design Essentials Coconut and Monoi Oil range which is set to launch in South Africa soon.

Do you have products that you swear by?  Have you tried any of the Design Essentials Natural Hair products?
