Saved by the Bentonite

from terrible Fro to decent wash and go with trusty Bentonite Clay

After my disastrous adventure with a new leave conditioner I had to wash my hair to get the Glycol Lemon Leave in Conditioner out of my hair.......  so I turned to Bentonite Clay........I recently fell in love with this clay when I did the Maximum Hydration Method.........it has a much creamer consistency than Rhassoul Clay..............I like mixing my clay with Aloe Vera Juice so this is how I mixed it 

500ml Aloe Vera juice 

1 1/2 Cups Bentonite Clay 

2 Tbsp. Olive Oil 

5ml Vitamin E Oil 

I use a hand held blender to mix it all together then I put it in one of those squeezy tomato sauce bottles you get from the Plastic Shop and I use that to apply it on my hair........I started off with dry hair and spritzed it a little water so I could work with it then I sectioned my hair into 4..........I applied the clay generously to each section working the clay from the root to the tip until every strand of hair was covered then I put on a plastic cap and let the clay sit in my hair for an hour

.........what I have noticed with the Bentonite clay is that it really defines my curls and the longer I leave it on my hair I find that my hair gets softer and softer......but unfortunately I didn’t have that much time so I kept it on for an hour 

My hair after an hour with Clay the curls are very defined and my hair feel fuller

Deep Conditioning Treatment

after the clay wash I deep conditioned my hair with Dr Miracles Deep Condition Treatment overnight  I added One Tbsp of Almond Oil and 5ml of Vitamin E oil to it......I left it  on overnight this morning I did a wash and go with the Beauty Treats Gel........I don't care much for the Dr Miracles Deep Conditioner it didn't do anything for me...... my hair my felt a little coarse and I had to rinse again with Tresemme Naturals Cleanse and Replenish conditioner just to get it feeling right.......the deep conditioning pack comes with a deep conditioner a leave in treatment (which I stayed clear of) and anti-breakage cream which I plan on using tonight to maintain my wash and go…………

so this is what my hair looks like this morning much improved from yesterday's puffy cotton candy affair.

Has anyone tried Bentonite Clay and what was their experience with it?
