We even had time to squeeze in two washes, Lelo's hair was shampooed with ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo to make sure we got rid of all product build so we could give her a protein treatment, we used a heat cap that is made by the +Silk Helmet Lady which we kept on her head for 20 minutes. The +Silk Helmet Lady kindly brought these caps for us to use and she has written a detailed article about the caps but basically what they do is "create a steam room effect on your head" (from Shantel's blog post) and this facilitates the product penetrating your hair much faster by using your body's heat therefore cutting out the need for a steamer or a dryer this for me is a much better way of getting products into my hair as Shantel says " the heat rises gradually and at lower temperatures than an electric appliance" goodbye, cumbersome steamer and dryer as once I am done I can clean it up and put it in a drawer ladies this is the future of hair care and I am certainly going to invest in one of these......
we then rinsed Lelo's hair and used the Afro Botanics Conditioning Moisturiser and Lelo's curls were popping and as she said they were "popping in 3D" Lelo loved how the products made her hair feel and she never thought she could get curl definition before but with the use of the Afro Botanics products we managed to achieve some curl definition. on her hair. Lelo's has really soft and tightly coiled hair and she should carry on with her current regime but add a protein treatment such as Afro Botanics Repairing & Strengthening Treatment her regime especially with the autumn and winter season approaching.
Cheri's hair was a bit tricky as she was transitioning and her hair felt very dry to touch, so with the help of Shantel from the +Silk Helmet Lady we washed Cheri's hair with Hello Hydration Moisture and Shine Shampoo and then we used the Afro Botanics Deep Penetrating Moisturising Conditioner we didn't keep that for long because of time constraints but it made quite a difference to Cheri's hair as it felt much softer after we rinsed it out, Cheri even opted for some of her chemically treated hair to be chopped off by Shantel as we detangled her hair with Aunt Jackies Knot on my Watch, we then used some Eco Styler gel to style Cheri's hair, my advice to Cheri would be to make sure she keeps her hair super moisturised and by using Afro Botanics Deep Penetrating Moisturising Conditioner this will help in retaining moisture in her transitioning hair. Cheri should also use the Nubian Nature Shea Lavender Souffle and Hair Elixer as this is an excellent water based moisturiser to keep you hair super soft.
Ingrid wanted to know how to do bantu/zulu knots on her hair and though we didn't do the whole head we used the Jane Carter's Revitalizing Leave in Conditioner on her clean hair and we moisturized with Nubian Nature's Shea Lavender Souffle which we used as a styler as well and did a two bantu knots in her hair to show her the technique. Ingrid was a bit concerned about the price of the Jane Carter's leave in conditioner so I recommended the Afro Botanics Conditioning Moisturiser as an excellent substitute as it was also a heat protectant.
if you have ever seen a beautiful full head of hair on a person that was Nana Jali my word this young lady has beautiful soft gorgeous gorgeous dark hair. Nana didn't try any of the products on her hair but whatever her regime she must keep on at and keep that beautiful hair as it is. Salome's hair is recovering from a weave gone bad but she is on top of her game and knows exactly what to do her lovely hair and she had a cute style on her hair as well. Sharifa and Jacqueline now these two ladies know exactly what to do to their hair and absolutely don't need me they are absolutely great and so much fun and thank you so much for your help ladies you guys rock! Sibongile had braids in her hair and she is using Jamaican Black Caster oil on her scalp and she says that it is working great for her, I have never used JBCO but seeing Sibongile's braids looking so great I think I will try definitely give it a try as well.

Obulunji had a give-away of Eco Styler Gel and Jane Carter Products which was absolutely fanstatic as the ladies went away with some really fantastic imported products. Ruth from my +Natural Moisture also gave us a few words and it was great to see her again and we will most definitely catch up at the Jozi Naturals meet up on the 21st of March.
