First in we have Design Essentials with their Coconut and Monoi range it is no secret that I have been waiting for this range for longest time. Of course me being me I was at Design Essentials offices as quick as a flash to get my product junkie fix on. I LOVE the smell of these products, my word they smell absolutely DIVINE. These products are supposed to infuse your hair with moisture and also keep you hair soft. I am currently trying out the full range of Design Essential Coconut and Monoi so look out for a review soon. The entire range is available to purchase from Design Essential South Africa Website and it will soon be available on the Mzansifro Online Store each of the products will be less than R200.
Obulunji has a new and revamped online store, they are currently stocking one of my favorite US brands the Cantu Beauty Range. They curently have in stock the Coconut Curling Cream (R199) and the Coconut Shine and Hold Mist (R199). I have tried a few of the Cantu Shea Butter range and I have never been disappointed so I am looking forward to trying out these two products.
OGX Coconut Water shampoo and conditioner also launched this month, it targets your dry brittle hair. I must say these products smell absolutely heavenly, the conditioner (R149) is very light on you hair but but extremely hydrating and the shampoo (R149) leaves your hair feeling really soft. I am a little disappointed though that they didn't also introduce their Coconut Water Hydrating Mist. OGX Coconut Water range is available for purchase at Dischem Stores and also on the Mzansifro Online Store
Last but not least is the ORS Monoi range, okay so back it up a bit I actually didn't know what Monoi was so I googled it and I found out on Wikepedia's that MONOI is actually COCONUT OIL that has been infused with the Tahitian Gardenia, I actually chuckled a bit because I thought MONOI was some miracle oil. (You know how natural girls be like). I haven't actually played with the product as yet, once I receive it I will update you. ORS Monoi Range will be available at Foschini Stores
So who will win the battle of the COCONUT!!! At this stage I think the race is still quite open, I am just glad that these products have hit our shores just in time for spring. We can now discard the cumbersome protective styles and "get our Coconut on" and have soft bouncy hair by the time we have the obligatory office spring day breakfast.
What new products have you seen on the shelves? Have you spotted any coconut oil/water products? What are you doing to get spring ready?
