Schwarzkopf - Smooth and Shine Review

I received such a pretty product hamper from Schwarzkopf - Smooth and Shine late last year to review. I have seen the products at all the major retail stores, to be honest the reason I never tried the products was because they were displayed next to the Smooth and Shine Relaxer, having access to good natural hair products I didn't feel the products were for me.
The Smooth and Shine range contains Moringa Oil, I have never used products that contain this oil before. I of course had to research and find out what this oil was. Moringa oil has a host of therapeutic properties including anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, anti-microbial and it is hepato-protective. The Moringa plant is a gift the truly gives and gives been used throughout the world to help heal and protect and what is great about it, is that it is native to Africa.

The oil also has high concentrations of Behenic acid and is sometimes called Ben Oil. Behenic acid is one of the best natural moisturizers for skin and hair. On the hair the oil conditions and strengthens from the root and it helps to keep dandruff at bay, the oil also gives hair a beautiful shine without a greasy residual.

The review process took me 4 weeks and I used the products as per below:

I started off with Deep Moisture Shampoo which has a pleasant smell, I liked this shampoo because my hair was extremely soft after I had rinsed it off. My scalp was clean and it definitely cleared up the product build-up without stripping my hair. I actually preferred this shampoo to my regular clarifying shampoo.

I didn't receive a conditioner from Smooth and Shine so I followed my shampoo with the Detangling LotionI struggled a little with this as it didn't have the amount of slip that I like. I found that the lotion made my hair soft I was able to style my hair straight after applying this lotion and once my hair was dry it didn't feel greasy but it was soft and manageable.

To refresh my twist-out's I would us the Wonder Spray I found that it gave my hair a nice sheen, also I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was minimal frizz when my twists had dried. I am not big on DIY's and I like sprays that can quickly give my hair "life" and this one does a pretty good job. The spray can also be used on braids, locks and weaves and will not create any build up.

The  product I I really did not want to use was the Nourishing Hair Food. I have never liked "Hair food" even when my hair was relaxed as it weighed my hair down and caused me DANDRUFF. It also made my hair look GREASY and I left an "oil slick" wherever I went.

This product also contains Paraffinum Liquidium  my hair just stood on its ends as I was reading the ingredients list. After I got over the fear of my hair all falling off I braved it and used this product. I was quite pleasantly surprised with this product and in my opinion this is the best product in this range. YES it has "paraffinum liquidum" and I don't care, I used this product on my hair only and did not massage it into my scalp I applied a small amount on my hair and concentrated it on my ends, my hair was soft and shiny but not greasy it simply absorbed into my hair strands.

I enjoyed my Schwarzkopf Smooth and Shine experience and I was pleasantly surprised with the products having been skeptical initially. All products are available at all the major retails stores and this range is very affordable.

Have you ever tried any of these products what were your thoughts.
