Product Review: Brownchild Hair Care

It is literally raining natural hair products from international brands invading our stores to locally produced products popping up everywhere. It's definitely a good time to be a natural in Mzansi.  I received some free samples from Brownchild to try a while ago.

Shampoo (R70)
A pleasantly fragranced cleanser that does an excellent job of cleansing without making your hair feel stripped. I use this shampoo as my first shampoo to get rid of oil, dirt, and buildup.  I especially love the fact that my hair doesn't get knotted when using this shampoo. This is a fantastic affordable shampoo, and in my opinion is better than some of the imported shampoo's available on the market. This product has become a staple in washday routine and I would definitely recommend you try it.

Conditioner (R70)
If you love a conditioner with a good amount of slip then this baby is going to become your staple. With ingredients such as Shea Butter and Coconut oil this conditioner de-tangles and softens your hair with ease.  I always feel as if it coats my hair with a protective layer, my hair feels nice and smooth after I have used this conditioner, most of the time I do not need to use a leave in conditioner. I would definitely recommend this conditioner.

Moisturising Butter (R80)
This is a Shea butter mix, I really did not enjoy this product at all. For me it was just a Shea butter mix with a bunch of oils and essential oils. I think there are enough Shea Butter mixes in Mzansi even I make one when I am feeling inspired (which is rarely ever).  If you like Shea Butter mixes and want to use the whole range then go for it. I have my favorite Shea Butter mix that I prefer and I will not be purchasing this product.

I am so pleased with the Brownchild's products and I cannot wait to see more and more products come from them.  The Mzansfro Online Store will be listing these products so you will be able to buy them from there. You can also get them from www.brownchild.co.za. Please go show them some love.

Are you excited to see natural hair products at Clicks and Dischem?  Do you think they should also give local products space on their shelves?  Please share your thoughts in the comments below and  don't forget to share this review with your friends.
